What’s a graphic style guide?

A style guide or style manual is a set of standards for design and writing of documents, either for general use or for a specific publication or organization. The style guide focuses on graphic design, covering such topics as typography, white space, colors and proper logo usage.

Why does my business need one?

graphic_style_guideThe graphics style guide coordinates the core design elements—logo, typography and color—to create a clear and consistent visual image. When the logos are used properly with the other elements of the identification program, a unique and effective visual style can be established.

The goal of the graphics style guide is to enhance your company's image. Every execution of the brand, from a brochure to a building sign, needs to project a positive image of the company and the brand. If these communications have a coordinated look, they will reinforce your business image as a premier company.

The style guide system strengthens your company through consistent, repetitive use, and reinforces the brand that customers recognize and value.

Here are some example style guide pages.
