1) Planning stage
This includes gathering information and establishing design criteria. An input meeting will be scheduled to discuss the creative questionnaire and to define needs, objectives and problems to be solved. Here are some example questions to be answered:
What is the average age of your target market?
What level of education do they have?
What gender is the majority of your target market?
What colors do you like/dislike?
Describe the benefits of your organization.
What images/symbols do you want to be associated with?
How will the logo be used? (in print, on the Web, signage?)
2) Interpretation of data: discuss and distill information collected
3) Typestyle selection
4) Conceptualize: initial sketches of logo concepts on paper (20 to 40)
5) Choose the top 4-5 sketches to further develop
6) Computer designs created of each chosen sketch
7) Review and revise or delete and dump
8) Complete final designs for presentation
9) Present the logo designs to you
After you choose your new logo design we will then tweak and revise it to your liking.
The final artwork will be e-mailed to you or posted on my server for you to download. You will receive full color and black and white lineart versions as Adobe Illustrator eps, pdf and high-resolution jpg files. I also can do special requests if you need another file type.
My goal is to create a logo design that meets and exceeds your objectives. E-mail or call me with any questions. I look forward to working with you on your new project.
